Dr. Bhushan H Pandya, MD

Dr. Pandya was trained in Internal Medicine followed by Gastroenterology in Jersey City Medical Center and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He established a practice in Gastroenterology in Danville in 1985 and founded Danville Gastroenterology Center in 1990. He served the patients in the office and has been on the medical staff of The Memorial Hospital which was subsequently named Danville Regional Medical Center and now SOVAH, Danville. 



Dr. Pandya is a graduate of Claude Moore Institute of Physician Leadership and has served in several leadership positions. He chaired the Board of Gateway Health Alliance for more than 10 years. He has served in multiple leadership positions eventually serving as the President of Medical Staff, Danville Pittsylvania Academy of Medicine, and Medical Society of Virginia. He has served on the State Board of Health, Virginia, been appointed by Governors Mark Warner and Timothy Kaine. He has been the Chair of the IMG Governing council at the American Medical association (AMA) and is a delegate to AMA from Virginia. He is a member of the American Board of medical specialties (ABMS) task force on Professionalism and is selected to be on the ABMS stakeholder council.

Dr. Pandya has organized Health fairs and Endoscopy camps in Danville and abroad.
